Indonesia's currency is in "RUPIAH" (IDR - Indonesian Rupiah) or "Rp" in short. Just like other countries in the world, Indonesia has coins and bank notes. 

 

The bank notes consist of:

• IDR 100,000 / Rp 100,000
• IDR 50,000 / Rp 50,000
• IDR 20,000 / Rp 20,000
• IDR 10,000 / Rp 10,000
• IDR 5,000 / Rp 5,000
• IDR 2,000 / Rp 2,000
• IDR 1,000 / Rp 1,000

PS: The color of bank notes IDR 100,000 and IDR 10,000 are somewhat alike, so pay extra attention when paying for something with the two.

 

The coins consist of:

• IDR 1,000 / Rp 1,000
• IDR 500 / Rp 500
• IDR 200 / Rp 200
• IDR 100 / Rp 100
